Welcome to Peace at Home Child Development and Care! Where we believe in creating a warm, supportive environment where children can thrive, all within the comfort of their own homes. Based in Detroit, we specialize in providing personalized in-home childcare and early education that’s tailored to each family’s unique needs. Led by Gabrielle Johnson, a passionate and experienced early education professional, we focus on building lasting relationships with our families to ensure consistent and meaningful care.

We’re excited to expand our team and are currently accepting applications for employment and independent contractors who are ready to make a difference in the lives of children and families. As a childcare provider, you will offer engaging and nurturing care in private homes, supporting children’s development while ensuring a safe and enriching environment. Sessions are available in four, eight, and twelve-hour increments, with pay ranging from $15 to $17 per hour (three-hour minimum). Our operating hours are 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Once hired, you’ll have a professional profile on our website where families can request your availability.

New hires will receive hands-on training by shadowing experienced professionals during in-home sessions. A mentor will be assigned for the first 90 days to provide ongoing support. Upon successful completion of orientation, you’ll earn a Peace at Home Certification, marking your readiness for in-home placements. All applicants must complete a background check, fingerprinting, and childcare clearance as part of the hiring process.
